Climatic controls on sedimentary systems and processes | Climate is a major control on the vigour and dynamics of sedimentary systems and processes, in different physical settings and over different spatial and temporal scales. This session considers the relationships between climate and sediment systems, including controls on weathering and erosion; geochronology, stratigraphy and correlation; relationship to the biosphere, biological processes and biogenic sediments; geochemistry (including isotopic data); and reconstructing past climates from the geological record. Contributions are invited on global to local studies that consider some or all of these themes. | Jasper Knight |
