Advances in Remote Sensing in the Cryosphere for the Polar Regions | This symposium invites contributions on remote sensing of the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets, as well as glaciers and smaller ice caps, the Arctic and Antarctic sea ice and snow cover. Studies of cryospheric change processes such as ice-ocean interaction or mass loss from the ice sheets are especially welcome. Remotely sensed data may include observations from manned or unmanned aircraft or satellite, active and passive microwave data, imagery, altimetry, gravity, to name a few. Papers may also focus on satellite missions that will be launched in the near future or on methodological advances for remote-sensing data analysis for polar research. | Ute Herzfeld |
