Geostatistics for Geological Resources Modeling
|
Energy, mineral resources and water are precious natural resources that have gained considerable attention in the last decade from scientists, engineers and economist. In this session, we aim to convene the latest modeling techniques for estimating and forecasting such geological resources using geostatistical methods or economic modeling workflows involving geostatistics. In particular, we will draw attention to the integration of qualitative geological information into geostatistical models, the use of large and multivariate datasets, the modeling of uncertainty in forecasts and practical case studies addressing real resource forecasting challenges whether in mineral resources assessment or production of fluids from the subsurface (oil/gas & water).
